Paul Seo - A Corruption Prosecutor Fighting for Us
Paul Seo is a husband and father, U.S. Army veteran, Deputy Attorney General, and Mayor of Rancho Palos Verdes. Raised by hardworking Korean immigrant parents, Paul joined the Army before earning his law degree and building a career working to protect California communities. He has successfully prosecuted violent crime, held corrupt public officials accountable for abusing the public’s trust, and taken on corporations that price gouge consumers and exploit families during emergencies. Paul is supported by firefighters, frontline prosecutors and nurses because he will crack down on corruption in Sacramento, lower the cost of living, keep communities safe, and make government work for working families.
1. Taking on corruption and powerful interests rigging the system against working families. As a prosecutor, Paul went after corrupt government officials and fraudulent businesses who abused the public’s trust. In the Assembly, Paul will take on corruption and special interests to clean up Sacramento.
2. Holding corporate polluters accountable and protecting our environment. With Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans gutting investments to fight climate change, Paul believes California must step up. As Deputy Attorney General, he took on Big Oil and other corporate polluters for harming our coast and environment. In the Assembly, Paul will protect our air and water, safeguard our beaches and open spaces, and push for new investments in clean, renewable energy to combat climate change and strengthen our economy.
3. Protecting Abortion Rights. Paul believes women - not politicians - should make their own healthcare decisions. He will always protect the right to safe, legal abortion and contraception and defend access to reproductive healthcare. Paul will fully fund Planned Parenthood and community clinics, protect healthcare providers and patients who come to California seeking care.
4. Lowering costs and going after corporate price gougers. Paul is fighting for California families getting squeezed by rising prices on everyday essentials. As a Deputy Attorney General, he went after corporations who took advantage of consumers, and as Mayor, he worked to lower utility costs, fix the grid and hold Southern California Edison accountable. Paul will make life more affordable by cracking down on unfair price hikes, providing tax relief for middle-class families, and lowering the cost of groceries, rent, and other essentials.
